Zorb Wars – Safety Briefing

Welcome to Zorb Wars!

Your safety is our top priority. Please listen carefully and follow these guidelines to ensure a fun and safe experience for everyone.

1. General Safety

- Participating in Zorb Wars is a physical activity. If you have any medical conditions, recent injuries, or concerns, please inform a member of staff before playing.

- If you feel unwell, dizzy, or in pain at any time, stop immediately and speak to a staff member.

- Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

- Only participate in what you are comfortable with — it is your choice which games you play or don’t play at Zorb Wars.

2. Equipment & Zorb Safety

- Keep the zorb straps secured at all times while playing. If anything feels loose or uncomfortable, let us know straight away.

- Do not enter or exit a zorb without staff approval.

- No sharp objects, jewellery, or loose items inside the zorb.

- No sunglasses or glasses are to be worn inside the zorbs.

- Do not sit, kneel, or lie down inside the zorb during gameplay unless instructed to by the staff.

- Do not kick the zorbs, as this can damage them.

- Inform staff immediately if your zorb starts to deflate — they can assess it and top it up if needed.

- Hold the handles firmly at all times whilst playing zorb games.

- If for any reason your head is out the top of the zorb, it most likely means you have it on upside down or the straps are not fitted properly. Do NOT play if this is the case. Speak to a staff member immediately so they can help you put the zorb on correctly and safely.

3. Gameplay Rules

- Strictly NO:

  • Head-to-head collisions

  • Charging at players who are on the ground

  • Bouncing on or tackling grounded players

  • Deliberate aggressive impact

  • Intentionally bashing players into the fence

  • Hitting or impacting any person who does not have a zorb on

- If someone falls, give them space and allow staff or the player to stand safely.

4. Behaviour & Conduct

- Play fairly and respect all other players.

- No rough or dangerous behaviour will be tolerated.

- Follow all instructions from Zorb Wars staff at all times — failure to do so may result in removal from play.

5. Environment & Venue Safety

- Keep within the designated play zone at all times.

- Keep hydrated, especially on hot days.

6. Clothing & Footwear

- Wear comfortable, secure footwear (trainers recommended).

- No studded or bladed footwear during a Zorb Wars session, as they can tear or damage the zorbs.

- No open-toed shoes.

- Tie back long hair.

- Avoid bulky clothing that may interfere with straps or movement.

7. Liability.

To help keep everyone safe, all players (or parents/guardians for under-18s) will be asked to complete a simple Safety Brief Confirmation document before taking part.

By joining in, you acknowledge that Zorb Wars is a physical activity and agree to follow our safety instructions so everyone can enjoy the session safely.

Have fun, stay safe, and enjoy your Zorb Wars experience!
